Wholistic Body and Baby is a haven for
women during all stages of life. The staff has a perfect blend
of knowledge, professionalism and empathy which allows each
of them to respond to the emotional and physical needs of their
clients, especially those who are making the transition into
parenthood.
Their ability to educate women and men through their various
courses about the body's natural ability to create, give birth
and nourish a new life helps to build confidence in expectant
and new parents. Their teachings often echo the instinctual
voice once experiences when becoming a parent and with the guidance
of the WBB staff, one learns to listen to their own "parental
intuition". The knowledge that is shared within WBB gives one
the strength and wisdom to advocate for their own needs and
those of their children whether the issue is breastfeeding or
various health concerns.
Kathy has helped me birth my three sons into the world and has
continued to support me and my family through each familial
transition. I would never have a baby without her! In her capacity
as a doula, she supported me through three very different births
confirming my feelings and providing the necessary stepping
stones for me to realize a birth that resembled my birth plan.
She was a much needed liaison between the sometimes scary medical
community (forgive me, Dr. Gratton!) and my own maternal instincts
concerning my pregnancy and birth. The knowledge gleened from
the hypnobirthing classes was paramount in giving me a better
chance at being successful in having a birth that I wanted for
my baby.
Carol's knowledge, expertise and patient manner provided the
foundation on which I grew and developed into a breastfeeding
mother, despite many challenges. She is always ready with advice
for the inevitable issues that arise when breastfeeding a newborn
and beyond.
It is clear that everyone at Wholistic Baby and Body feels passionate
about their work and take pride in helping families grow with
consistent support and knowledge. It is said that it takes a
village to raise a child. At WBB, one can find the support of
a village before, during and after pregnancy, which is so often
lacking in our current society.
